NANDINA DOMESTICA OBSESSED(R-ROYALTY)

Plant code: NAN-DO

Nandina domestica 'Obsessed' (also known as 'Seika') is a compact and evergreen variety of great ornamental value, selected for its brightly colored foliage and neat shape. This cultivar stands out for its exceptional red color, already present on the young leaves and persistent during the cold months, making it one of the most spectacular varieties of the Nandina family. The foliage, finely composed and light, resembles bamboo in appearance, but with a much more intense and dynamic color. The new growth emerges in bright red tones, then turning to an intense green during the summer. In autumn and winter, the plant returns to bright red, creating vibrant spots of color even in the most barren gardens. Unlike the type species, 'Obsessed' was selected
to have a more stable and marked color, with a more compact behavior.
The habit is bushy, tidy and naturally rounded, with slow and
contained growth. It generally reaches a height of about 60–80 cm, maintaining a
dense and regular structure, without the need for pruning. It is perfect for low borders,
formal gardens, potted compositions and as a colorful element in modern gardens.
Nandina 'Obsessed' is very resistant and easy to grow. It adapts to a wide
range of soils, as long as they are well-drained, and tolerates both full sun and partial shade. It is
hardy and resistant to cold, and once well rooted it tolerates even short periods of drought.
It does not require special care, which makes it suitable also for those who want a low-maintenance
decorative plant.
For its bright seasonal color and compact habit, Nandina domestica
'Obsessed' It is an ideal choice for creating focal points, long-lasting color effects and textures in gardens of any style.
